For having been the largest village of boatmen in Eastern France, the municipality and the Cercle des anciens mariniers have created a museum in a barge installed in the heart of the city. Moored at the Quai des Bateliers, this museum barge presents a large collection of objects, documents and models retracing the history, techniques and way of life of the barge industry. The museum is open from 1 May to 30 September on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 2pm to 6pm and by appointment the rest of the year. Audioguides in German only (included in the entrance fee). Explanatory panels in German.
