Free visit of the cribs in the Saint-Augustin parish

" Enjoy the nativity scenes in the Saint-Augustin church in a Christmas musical atmosphere. "

Since 1901, the parish of Saint-Augustin has been home to a nativity scene located between the transept and the choir. Over the past 120 years, the crib has been regularly restored and repainted. Since 2020, it has been enhanced by new lighting and floral enhancements. In addition, the crib in the chapel of the former "Vestra" factory on rue du Maréchal Joffre was acquired by the Orthodox community for a symbolic one euro. The crib has now been restored and is on display in the Saint-Augustin church. Finally, after an absence of more than 21 years, a dromedary from the large crib will once again be present. It had disappeared, was found and restored over a period of 2 years (all restorations are carried out by parish volunteers). This crib tour is part of the Alsace crib trail circuit (North zone).
