Concert by the Maîtrise de Colmar - Midnight Mass and works by M. Antoine Charpentier
The Maîtrise de Colmar will perform the Midnight Mass by Marc-Antoine Charpentier, a baroque composer and favourite of Louis XIV. This work for choir, soloists and instrumental ensemble was written to celebrate the Nativity. It is inspired by eleven traditional Christmas carols, some of which will be sung by the pre-mastery. A festive evening in the run-up to Christmas.
