Guided tour : Christmas legends and traditions

Every year, Sélestat pays tribute to the Christmas tree in a variety of ways, dating back to 1521. An exhibition of fir trees hanging in the nave of St Georges church recalls, among other things, the evolution of Christmas tree decorations. The guide will tell you all about the history and traditions of these decorations, and more generally about the incredible customs and legends associated with Christmas. A tasting of mulled wine and bredeles awaits you at the end of the tour at the Maison du Pain d'Alsace.
